Delisle, Claude

Celebrated history and geography teacher, tutored in geography by Nicolas Sanson, the Elder. Founder of the family cartographic business. Working in conjunction with the Academie Royale des Sciences, Delisle prepared plans and instructions for Iberville's voyage down the Mississippi
His son, Delisle Guillaume was also a cartographer.
